From the end of March 2010 to the beginning of July 2010 I went travelling around South East Asia with two friends from University. Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. The most amazing and inspirational 3 months I think I have ever had. Along the way we tried our hand at some of the local arts and crafts.
Here we are trying our hand at leather engraving. There was a stall on the side of the road in the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. Beautiful leather products all hand made. We asked him if we could have a go at engraving ourselves. We engraved the initials of friends and family at home on to key rings. What a personal pressie!
